Dante was
born in Florence, Italy in the year 1265. He title is ‘Father of Italian
Poetry’. He is a great writer. He was the father of Italian Poetical style of
writing. His work ‘Divine Comedy’ is considered as a classic. Man’s journey to
hell and heaven after death was described in this book. He used to express his
views bravely. For criticizing Christianity he was awarded death sentence.
Later it was converted as house arrest. With his writings, Dante brought
awareness in the European society during renaissance period.
