Introduction:
By 1400 A.D. Feudal system started declining. Internal disputes were the main
reason for the decline of feudal system.
1. Surplus
production and preservation led to barter system.
2. Markets
entered into villages and caused for the disintegration of feudal system.
3. As the
international value for coins was not fixed, the conditions were favourable for
free international trade. It was carried on in barter system and gold and
silver were used for buying.
4. Farmers
sold their excess production and saved money. Sometimes land lords also carried
on transactions based on barter system. Currency collapsed the feudal system.
5. New
cities emerged and they had contacts with villages. This changed social
relations all over the Europe.
6. Market
system and new economic needs decreased the authority of feudal lords.
7. Newly
emerged national fervor also caused for the decline of feudal system.
8.
Landlords exhausted their money living luxurious life.
9. Mainly
Renaissance, waning of the glory of Roman Catholic Church, newly emerged middle
class, capitalists, bankers due to internal and international trade decreased the
influence of feudal lords.
